My mission is to take some of the mystery and snobbery out of wine. My philosophy is that whether you pay £6.99 or £74.99 for a bottle of wine, if you like it and enjoy it, it's got to be a good one. On the other hand lets not get too carried away, 90% of the time a bottle of wine at £6.99 is not going to be as good a quality, as one say at £11.99. The wines that are produced today are of a far better quality across the board than ones produced in years gone by. We are very lucky in the UK we have such a wide and diverse selection of wine to chose from, but some of this diversity can lead to some wines not being as good as they should be but hey! The producers are feeding a demanding mass market which is great for profits but not always for quality. Some may say I am being too black and white ok! They could be right but when it comes down to it the market supports what people can afford!
On this web site there are different sections for the wines and grapes, there is information on countries and regions responsible for producing such a varied and wonderful array of wines for our consumption
Drinking Wine is all about having fun, savouring the nectar borne of fruits that have been upon this earth centuries before the times of the Roman Empire.
